Information.

HMS Urge, N 17 was built by Vickers Armstrong at Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. She was launched on the 19th of August 1940.

HMS Urge left Malta on 27th April 1942 for Alexandria. On the 29th of April she was spotted off Ras-el-Hilal (Lybia) by an Italian aircraft which dropped depth charges. HMS Urge was reported overdue on on 6 May 1942 when she failed to arrive at Alexandria, presumed lost with all hands.
