World War 2 Two II WW2 WWII

Information.

HMHS Somersetshire was a hospital ship, she was lost after being torpedoed by Uboat 453 on the 7th April 1942

She was with the Lancastria on the 17th June 1940 off the coast of St. Nazaire, shorly before the Lancastria was sunk.

My father , who is almost eighty years old and still living served as an engineer on board A hospital ship called HMHS SOMERSETSHIRE, and is trying to find information about her.In particular , what her pennant number was.Can any of you users assist with any information?
