On his Certificate of Service S-459 form is John Achilles Daunt, Fleet Air Arm, Date of birth 19th April 1926. While serving at Merlin he met my mother Eda Grace Owen who was a WREN Air Mechanic no 74732. She served on Heron, in 1944, Fledgling in 1944 air mechanic (E), Heron and then Merlin 1944-1946 when she was released also.

This is a photo of her squadron with mascot. She is on front row, RHS of the dog. I don’t know what type of aircraft, or where it was taken or what squadron. When my uncle was killed, she traveled to Ireland with his belongings and met my father. They dated and got married in 1948. She died in May 2002.
