Information.
HMS Fishguard was a sloop of the Banff class. She ws built by: Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp. in Quincy, Massachusetts, U.S.A. and launched on the 28th September 1927 as USCG Tahoe. She was commissioned to the Royal Navy under the Lend-Lease scheme on the 30th April 1941 and served until 27th March 1946 when she was returned to the United States. Her recommissioning with the USN was cancelled and she was sold on 24 October 1947.

- 30th April 1941, joined Royal Navy from USN.
- 6th May 1941, departed Halifax with Convoy HX125A
- 16 May 1941, Convoy HX125A joined with Convoy HX125B
- 22nd May 1941, arrived Liverpool with Convoy HX125A
- 1st June 1941 Departed Halifax with Convoy HX 130
- 20th June 1941, arrived Liverpool with Convoy HX 130
- 26th June 1941, Departed Halifax with Convoy HX 135
- 12th July 1941, arrived Liverpool with Convoy HX 135
- 4th September 1941, Departed Freetown with Convoy SL.86
- 26th September 1941, Arrived Liverpool with Convoy SL.86
- 26th April 1942 Departed Freetown with Convoy SL.108
- 19th May 1942 Arrived Liverpool with Convoy SL.108
- 25th June 1942 Departed Freetown with Convoy SL.114
- 17th July 1942 Arrived Liverpool with Convoy SL.114
- 27th March 1946 returned to the United States.
My Father was Able Seaman Arnold Malina, he trained at HMS Collingwood from 12 May 1943 August 1943 to 20 July 1943.
Served on HMS Fishguard from 1943 to December 1945. Convoy escorts in Indian Ocean from 21/11/1943 to 31/05/1945 out of bases HMS Tana, Kilindini, Kenya and HMS Lanka in Ceylon.from 01/06/1945 to 31/10/1945
