 Subject: 8th Army Desert Rats

My grandfather served in the 8th Army in North Africa and Italy. He was a DUKW driver at least some of this time. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the regiment he was likely to have served in? His name was Frederick Noel Howard, does anyone remember him?

My grandfather also served in the 8th Army Desert Rats.He was a driver aswell, he actually drove montgomery. I dont have anything to go on his name was John Yuill originally from bellshill in scotland later moving to bradford west yorkshire,anybody who can help me?
