My Father in law Private Henry Harper of 7 Battalion Argyle and Southern Highlanders was captured by the germans at Dunkirk also and sent to Stalag IXC. He was prisoner 431 and spent the war there until 16.09.44 when he was sent back to UK on health grounds.
The family is trying to find any information on his stay there or any old friends from those days. We have no photos or any other information. Be obliged if you get any information or can help.

My father Robert Burns served in the A.S.H and was taken prisoner at Dunkirk. He did the death march from France through Poland and ended up in a camp in Germany he was liberated by the Americans at the end of the war. I do have photos if anyones interested.
