The Wartime Memories Project Messageboard [ return ] From Message david coyle Guest   8/17/2005 14:14:13 Subject: Argyle and Southern Highlanders IP: Logged Message: My Father in law Private Henry Harper of 7 Battalion Argyle and Southern Highlanders was captured by the germans at Dunkirk also and sent to Stalag IXC. He was prisoner 431 and spent the war there until 16.09.44 when he was sent back to UK on health grounds. The family is trying to find any information on his stay there or any old friends from those days. We have no photos or any other information. He did the death march from France through Poland and ended up in a camp in Germany he was liberated by the Americans at the end of the war. I do have photos if anyones interested.
