The Wartime Memories Project - The Great War - Shorncliffe Camp
Shorncliffe Camp was near Folkestone in Kent, origionally built as a Napoleonic earthworks fort, the site, which covers 200 acres, was used as a training camp during the Great War and is still in use by the army today.
What a great resource. I just got some information that a relative was at Shorncliffe camp and had no idea what it was. Your website helped a lot. His name was William Dunn from Orilla Ontario, Canada. He was there in 1916. Thanks and keep caring.
