- 1st Btn. Royal Berkshire Regiment were at Aldershot, extract from their war diaries: First day of mobilization. Mobilization as per scheme. No defects.
105 reservists, 1 Capt, 1 sub from Depot at 11.30pm. Progress reported 3.30pm.
- 1st Btn. Wiltshire Regiment were at Tidworth extract from their war diaries: 6.05a.m. Wire stating war has broken out with Germany. First Day of mobilization Precautionary Period detachment rejoined.
