The Wartime Memories Project - Support the Forgotten Hero appeal

Thank you

Please allow 28 days for delivery of DVDs.

It has recently been brought to our attention that the Canadian Committee behind the campaign to create a copy of the Mynarski statue have decided not to go ahead with creating the replica statue. This decision was made without consulting the project partners in the UK.

The Wartime Memories Project has decided to put on hold any futher fundraising until the situation becomes clearer. If you have made a donation and have any queries please get in touch.

Profits from sales of these DVD's will go to the Forgotton Hero Appeal to be split between the appeal to erect a replica statue in Canada and Middleton St George Primary School, who are struggling to recover from an arson attack in 2003.

If you would like to make a donation towards the statue by cheque, you may do so by sending your donation to:

  • The Wartime Memories Project
  • MHP
  • PO Box 325
  • Stockton on Tees
  • TS20 1XL
  • UK

Please make cheques payable to "The Wartime Memories Project" and write "Statue Donation" on the back, thank you.

We are working on expanding the Wartime Memories archive to include audio and video recordings. If you or anyone you know would like to take part please get in touch. We would like to interview on camera anyone who lived through the Second World War or those who have conducted indepth research into wartime activities. These recordings will be used to preserve the recollections for future generations, to provide educational material for schools and researchers and to contribute to documentaries on the subject. Any moneys generated by these recordings will be used to futher this project.

If you have not yet added your recollections please consider doing so, many of those who have, have found it a rewarding experience.
