World War 2 Two II WW2 WWII

Information.

574th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion

My father, Henry Lloyd Phillips, served in support of the 13th AD with the 574th AAA Battalion. He was cannoneer and gunner on a M16 half-track. Recently my brother came across a newspaper clipping about an April 1945 ambush in Urbach, Germany that my father was involved in. With a lot of prodding from his grandson, dad finally wrote down a first hand version of the story. I've posted it at www.nwfootball.net/dad for all my family members to view. Please contact me if you have anything to add to this page or know how I can find more information on the 574th.
