Information. The 26th Infantry Regiment was part of the 1st Infantry Division. I am doing some research on a PFC Hyman Goodman who was with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was taken prisioner near the town of Merode Germany around November 1944 and was held at a number of POW camps, one being Luckenwalde untill his release in May 1945. If anyone can assist me in obtaining information, records, or how to find German POW camp muster records, Thank you.
