The Sherwood Forresters. (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment) The Sherwood Forresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment) was formed in 1881 by the redesignation of 45th (Nottinghamshire) Regiment of Foot who became the 1st Battalion and the redesignation of 95th (Derbyshire) Regiment of Foot who became the 2nd Battalion. Battalions during the Second World War: 1st Battalion 2nd Battalion. 3rd Battalion (Chatsworth Rifles) 4th Battalion (Royal Sherwood Foresters) 2/5th (Derbyshire) Battalion 9th Battalion 10th (Home Defence) Battalion 12th Battalion 13th Battalion 14th Battalion 15th (Home Defence) Battalion 16th Battalion 30th Battalion 50th (Holding) Battalion 70th (Young Soldiers) Battalion Photographs If you have any Photographs you would like to share please get in touch.
