World War 2 Two II WW2 WWII
Information.
No. 35 Squadron, RFC, was first formed on 1st February 1916, at Thetford, the squadron saw action in France during the Great War and was disbanded in 1919 then reformed in 1929.
In April 1940 35 Squadron was absorbed into No. 17 OTU, flying Blenhiems. The Squadron was reformed in November 1940 to fly the Hadley Page Halifax with Bomber Command. In August 1942 35 Squadron was one of 5 squadrons selected to form the Pathfinder force. The Squadron flew the Avro Lancaster from March 1944.

- Cranfield. Aug 1939 to Dec 1939
- Bassingbourn. Dec 1939 to Feb 1940
- Upwood. Feb 1940 to Apr 1940
- Boscombe Down Nov 1940
- Leeming. Nov 1940 to Dec 1940
- Linton on Ouse Dec 1940 to Aug 1942
- Graveley Aug 1942 onwards
