James Hannan (second from right, front row, next to trophy)
This is a photograph of my great uncle James Hannan, 4452138, who served with the 1st Battalion Durham Light Infantry during World War two. He was killed in action on the island of Kos between October 3rd-4th 1943 aged 25 years. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the trophy is for or who any of the others in the photograph are. I'd love to know anything about this picture.
