World War 2 Two II WW2 WWII

Information.

In November 1916, a pilot flying in fog was thankful to make a safe landing in a clear area at Tangmere. His report concluded that the area would be ideal for an aerodrome.

Squadrons staioned at RAF Tamgmere

What happened on the 24-25th November 1943, when John Harper, RAF Flight Sergeant, age 28 was killed along with his crew on board a Halifax Bomber returning from a raid? They crashed at Tangmere. I have been in touch with the Air Ministry and Scotland Yard and I have got a little bit more each time. They said that they were killed outright, but I found that one of the crew died the next day in hospital.
